Nighttime would find me in Rosa's cantina
Last night Victor's sister Gabi and her friend got in from travelling in Mexico. They're staying with Victor/Ryan/Karen until they head back to Boston on Monday. We picked them up from the bus station, unloaded their stuff at the house, and went to The Draught House. My friends and I used to go there every Thursday night, but we've been slacking off lately. They have a great selection of beer, and you can sit outside in the parking lot and drink. Most people bring lawn chairs. I bought one of those folding camp chairs to use for that specific purpose. Anyway, we met up with some friends there, including one that I haven't seen since I've been home. It was a good time. My friend Meredith has been living and traveling in Mexico on and off for most of this year, and she was in town, so she chatted with Gabi and her friend about Mexico. Victor's uncle lives in Mexico City, and he's got a ranch house outside the city… that's where the girls had been staying. I'd like to go down there sometime. When I was in the west Texas town of El Paso, I went across the border to Juarez. But I'd like to see the real Mexico. Maybe someday we'll get a chance to go down there… I'd better learn some Spanish first, though.
