Something for the weekend.
So. After the demise of my computer Thursday night (thank you, MBNA... thank you, Microsoft), I cleaned up the house for Diana's visit. She got in Friday morning. Victor, Diana, and I had lunch at Trudy's and then Diana and I went to my interview. I think it went well. I'm still waiting to hear back whether I got the job or not. We went shopping Friday afternoon, and I got a couple of things at the mall.

Friday night, we ate Chinese food and went to the Super Furry Animals/Grandaddy show. I took pictures, and hopefully I can download them onto Victor's computer so that I can post them. We were up close for all of SFA and about half of Grandaddy. SFA were very good, even though Gruff's hair makes him now look like a madman. They played several songs from the past two albums, and two older b-sides. I was disappointed that they didn't play longer, but it's the 4th time I've seen them, so I don't have that much to complain about. We decided that Jason from Grandaddy looks like my brother-in-law. Grandaddy weren't that exciting as a live show, but they played very well.

Saturday morning, Diana's sister came to get her to hang out with her family for the day. Victor and I went to get my hair cut (it's cute) and had Cuban food afterwards. We then had to take a nap, because it was such a lazy, beautiful day. We picked up Karen around 5 to go to Trudy's happy hour. Diana later met us at Victor's house, where a large assortment of my friends were gathered. We left around 11:30 to have a Dr. Mario tournament at my house. Diana ended up beating Victor and me several times, so I think she was the overall winner.

Diana left Sunday morning. We played soccer at noon, and I didn't make any glaring mistakes. Yay! My team won. Victor and I made salsa for Ryan and Kat's film benefit, then headed to Club DeVille to set up for it. The benefit went really well. Mark, Victor and I stayed by the free food most of the night, helping refill (and eat). I saw Aaron's and Kat's short films, which I hadn't seen before, and I saw Ryan's again (which I was script supervisor on). My old high school friend Mikey showed up with his girlfriend. I hadn't seen him in six or seven years, so it was nice to catch up. Victor and I won movie passes and a weekend getaway in the silent auction ("won" here means we bid $76 for those items).

So now you're caught up. I'm going to call tech support for my computer tonight, if I can find the number, and see if there's anything that can be done to fix it. If not, I may have to do some shopping.
