Woo pig sooie!
Normally, I couldn't care less about what the Razorbacks do in their games. I went to the University of Arkansas, I have a degree from there, but I never really followed our sports. I'm not big into sports in school, because I think it takes away from academics (not to mention it drains funding from the arts), but today, I had to be a Hog fan.

There used to be a huge rivalry between the University of Texas and the University of Arkansas. Back when we were in the same conference, most Arkansas fans would have given their front teeth to beat the Longhorns (please insert tooth1ess hi11bi11y joke here). But for the last several years, we've been in different conferences and only played each other during bowl games.

I live in Austin now, home of UT, and my boyfriend's getting his MBA there. So I halfheartedly support Texas if Victor's watching the game on TV. Today, the Longhorns and the Razorbacks played each other for the first time in years, and we went to the game.

Being a fan of the other team when you're sitting in the student section isn't that much fun. I would have liked to have cheered for Arkansas more, but I didn't want to lose a limb. Turns out there was a lot to cheer about, because we kicked Texas' ass. Arkansas played a good game, but Texas certainly did its part to lose the game. They had virtually no defense most of the game, and their quarterback sucked hardcore. But it was nice watching the little underdog Razorbacks beat the hell out of the mighty Longhorns. We ate hotdogs, got sunburned, and Victor's sprained ankle swelled up like a balloon. But we had a good time.

Now I'm home, I've got a cheesecake baking, and I'm about to do some cleaning. I'm listening to my new CD's which I got last night. They are...
Her Majesty the Decemberists by the Decemberists
The Decline of British Sea Power by British Sea Power
Songs for Dustmites by Steve Burns
So far, I like all three albums a lot. I also picked up a couple of cheap import singles and the Super Furry Animals Phantom Power DVD.

Last night, we saw Cabin Fever. Man, it was dumb.
