You dance to disco, and you don't like rock.
I started my new job today, sort of. I spent the morning cleaning up some ongoing issues from my old job, then I found out what some of my new duties will be. Basically, I'll be working with the team in India, which will be nice since I know them already. No longer will I have to talk to customers on a daily basis. I'll do a lot of call auditing, work on some process improvement projects, and may end up doing some more travelling. I really like my new manager, who was in India with me for about a month or so.

Victor and I went grocery shopping tonight. Usually we go to Randall's, because it's closer to our houses, less crowded, and we have the club cards. OK, I take that back... I usually go there, Victor goes to Central Market. But anyway, tonight we wanted more selection, because we hadn't shopped in so long, that we went to H.E.B. instead. Usually, I'm so annoyed with the crowds there, but I guess we were there late enough that it was ok. I got a new ivy plant for my desk at work, plus a bunch of food. I'm going to try to eat out way less, because I can save more money and eat healthier. Plus, I miss cooking.

In financial news, I paid off one of my credit cards today!!! I'm so glad, because I didn't care for the credit card company. As soon as the payment goes through, I'm calling to cancel. Also, it's pledge time at KEXP, which is my internet radio staple, so I pledged to them this week. John in the Morning thanked me on the air.

Oh!!! Speaking of John in the Morning, remember the guy I kept talking about at the ACL Festival? The Mod Rocker guy? Apparently he's a minor celebrity. His name is Beatle Bob, and he's from St. Louis. Want to know more? Check out this No Depression article, or just do a quick Google search, because this guy is all over. He's even been in a Guided by Voices video. Thanks Mark for the tip-off. Here's one of the pictures I took of him:

So now you know.
