Vacation, all I ever wanted.
Yay, I'm going to Boston! Victor and I have been planning a trip to Boston for some time, but it looked like we weren't going to be able to go. Suddenly his schedule changed, so we found some last minute tickets on Hotwire. We're leaving tomorrow (our flight is at 6am from Dallas, so we're leaving Austin around 1:30am and driving up there). I'm about halfway packed. I would have liked a little more notice, because I need to get some winter stuff dry-cleaned, but I guess now it'll be Dryel and hope for the best!

Victor lived in Boston for eight years, and his sister still lives up there. He really misses it. I've never been up there. We're hoping to still see some leaves changing. The autumn leaves were absolutely amazing in Arkansas, where I'm from, but Texas doesn't really get that. So I am excited to see it again. We're also going to see Gorky's Zygotic Mynci while we're up there. Which reminds me, I need to get tickets to that. Anyway, I'm really excited. It's going to be at least 20-30 degrees cooler up there than it is in Texas. I love cold weather, and I've missed it since I've moved to Texas.

This trip coincides nicely with the recent success of the Red Sox. Too bad about the Cubs last night. I was pulling for a Cubs-Red Sox World Series. Sorry Kris, Jeremy, Kelly, and all the rest of you Chicago fans.

The new Travis album came out Tuesday, and I still don't have it yet. Man, I'm a slacker.

Oh, one other thing. My spawn of Satan cat, Liam, woke me up this morning around 3:45. I couldn't sleep after that, I guess due to excitement about the trip and my stupid back, which is giving me problems again. Thanks, Liam. I really appreciate it. Anyway, I was able to watch some morning news, cook a nice breakfast, color my hair, pack for my trip, handwash some clothes, put pore strips on my face, and pluck my eyebrows. So I guess the morning wasn't all lost.
