Home sweet home.
Greetings from potato land. Nope, I haven't gone back to Texas yet; I'm still here. I haven't had too much to write about, since my days are mostly filled with work and TV. I have been out to see the Snake River canyon, which is just a couple hundred feet from my hotel anyway. I'll take some pictures soon, because it's beautiful. My coworker K and I are going to drive up to Sun Valley today. Even though most of the resort stuff will be closed, since ski season is over, you can apparently drive up into the mountains and get an amazing view.

In other news, Victor has been very busy getting our new apartment stuff sorted out. We faxed in our applications earlier this week, and Victor overnighted a check. Luckily, we got it just in time - apparently, all of the apartments in the building are gone now except for the super expensive ones. We were hoping for a two-bedroom, but the one we wanted was rented last weekend. Anyway, we're going to be living in the Post Wilson building in downtown Dallas. It's a nice one-bedroom on the ninth floor, so we'll have a decent view. Most of the apartment has hardwood floors, but there is a section of the living room with polished concrete. The bathroom has a huge jacuzzi tub! Yay, jacuzzi every night.

So it looks like we'll get the keys and sign the lease the weekend of July 3rd, and then paint all weekend. The movers will bring up our stuff later that same week. We're thinking mint green for the kitchen, which will look nice with the white cabinets. Did I mention the marble countertops that are in both the bathroom and the kitchen? We decided on some shade of red for the bathroom. We're still up in the air about the color for the bedroom and the living room. Oh, we have 13-foot ceilings, too, so we'll have to get a ladder so that we can paint and hang artwork. I'm pretty excited, because this will probably be the first nice apartment I've ever had (my apartments are always well-decorated, but the apartment itself is not too fancy). Unless you count one of the flats I had in Dublin... it was really nice but so, so small.

I guess all that TLC I've been watching lately will be put to good use with my new home makeover project.
