Packing sucks!
Know what sucks even more? Packing in the Texas summer. Yeah, I know, my apartment is air-conditioned. However, you always generate a lot of trash when packing, and I live on the third floor with no elevator. By the time I make it downstairs with the trash and back, I'm drenched in sweat, dodging wasps, and really grumpy. And if you're like me, packing also generates a lot of laundry, so I have to drag that downstairs and up again. The heat has been making me tired, too, so I don't get as much done. Needless to say, I've got a long way to go.

I had Friday off so that we could take a trip down to Houston to go to IKEA to get a new couch. We are getting rid of Victor's couch, so we would need another. We rented a pickup truck to take down there ($70) so that we would be able to bring the couch back. The trip takes about three hours each way. Unfortunately for us, the stupid Houston store is closed for renovating!! Until August!! I was so mad. We ended up just going shopping instead. We saw a couch and chair on Saturday at Eurway that was on sale, so I think we'll get that instead.

In other news, Interpol has a new album coming out in September. That's exciting! I'm hoping to see them in Dallas at the Curiosa festival. And we have tickets to see The Decemberists tomorrow at the Parish. I won them on the radio, but we were going to go anyway. Now I just don't have to buy tickets. I haven't been to a show in so long.
