Being nice just doesn't pay anymore.
Since when did we become such hateful, let's-sue-over-anything people? Here is a story about two teenage girls that baked cookies and left them on neighbors' porches as a gesture of love and goodwill. One of the recipients sued the girls because she got scared when they knocked on her door and then left. Apparently she freaked out so bad that she went to the hospital the next day with an anxiety attack. So she sued them. Never mind that the girls felt bad, sent notes of apology, and offered to pay her medical bills. (via Drudge)
