You’re a true fan
Sitting on my desk right now is a computer fan. The reason I have it? My computer died. Yes, my trusty, beloved computer totally freaking crapped out on me. Thermal event! Fan failure! Mayday! Mayday! Yes, it was as tragic as that. But, I called Dell’s increasingly awful tech support, and I ended up buying a replacement fan. So, as soon as I get that bad boy installed, I will be able to post pictures and videos and more updates. Please pray that nothing on my hard drive was harmed, because, uhhh… it hasn’t been backed up.
Anyway, I’m settling into my new job. It’s been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster learning a completely new career, but so far I’m loving it. I don’t have a real office, since our department has three offices and four people. I was the last to join the team, so I’m stuck with the nice wood-and-glass cubicle. It’s got a window, though, and it’s really nice. So I can’t really complain. Most everyone at my new office are nice, funny, and (gasp!) well-educated. There are so many masters degrees floating around here it’s ridiculous. There are some snappy dressers here too, although I’ve managed to get compliments on my shoes and skirts.
I’ve also found a brand new love in my life. I bought a new ceramic, ionic hair dryer, and it is freaking amazing. Suddenly I am able to have cute (well, cuter) hair without much hassle, and I find that I feel a lot more confident with better hair. Isn’t that weird?
So, sorry about the nonexistent posting on here. With the computer dying and the weirdo life changes, I just didn’t feel like/wasn’t able to post. But the fan will be installed on Sunday, after I get back from an out-of-town trip to go to my uncle’s funeral. And then I’ll have some lovely pictorial stories to tell.

Blogging to do list:
This past week has been pretty hectic, weird, fun, scary... all of that plus trying to clean the house for a possible mother-in-law visit has meant no time or energy to blog. Well, sometimes I had time, but I just wasn't feeling it. I promise I'll be a good girl and have all of those updates on the list done by the end of this weekend!!!
- Talk about our trip to London and share pictures.
- Give a recap of our Boston/New England trip and share pictures.
- New job! It's fun! I love it! I should tell you guys about it.
- Talk about the Sufjan Stevens concert I'm about to go to.

Take Your Carriage Clock and Shove It
Today's my last day at my job!
Today's my last day at my job!
Today's my last day at my job!
My desk is almost all packed. I had my exit interview. I sent out the "goodbye, I'll miss you guys" email. All I really have left to do is make my rounds for hugs and stuff, and I'll be out of here. On to better and brighter things.
